Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: An inter-departmental meeting to discuss details on conducting the 15th Toshali National Crafts Mela 2021 was held here Wednesday under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner-cum-Addl.
Chief Secretary Pradip Kumar Jena. In the meeting, he stressed upon social distancing and strict ad-herence to Covid protocols. The 15th Toshali National Crafts Mela will be held at Janata Maidan from January 21 to February 4, 2021. For the success of the fah; cooperation with various depart-ments are required, said Commissioner-cum-Secretary
Handloom Textile and Handicrafts Department Shubha Sarma. The fair will provide a great opportunity to weavers and arti-sans. Due to the Covid-19 pan-demic, 250 stalls will be set up at the fair. Discussions on police de-ployment in and around the ground to maintain law and order were also held. Adequate traffic per-sonnel will be deployed to control traffic and smooth movement of ve-hicles, an official said.
The State Fire officer has been requested to provide two units of Fire Brigade round the clock. Uninterrupted power supply water supply to the fair ground, first aid, special facility for PwDs and ample media coverage will be fa-cilitated by respective Departments. Additional Commissioner of Police Rekha Lohani, BMC Commissioner Premchand Choudhary and other senior offi-cers of various departments were present in the meeting.
