Bhuhaneswag Jan 20: A registered health care worker can get vac-cine in any parts of the state if the concerned person will remain un-available at the registered session site Health director Bijay Panigrahy said here Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters here, Panigrahy said, “We have devel-oped a system to facilitate vacci-nation of registered health worker in any session site of the state.
” If a health worker is trans-ferred or moved outside the dis-trict where he/she had registered herself/himself to get the vac-cine shot, he/she can also avail the , benefit at the present place, he r said, adding, some people have already got benefit of the new system yesterday. The director said,
“Phase-I vac-cination drive is likely to be com-pleted by end of this month. The state government had earlier re-ceived 211alch syringes for the vac-cination drive while another batch of 22 lakh syringes reached Tuesday” Asked about report on any ad-verse effect of the vaccine, Panigrahy said, “We found side ef-fects of the vaccine in three bene-ficiaries including one from Bargarh and two from Sundergarh district yesterday.
They developed some mild symptoms which subsided after a few hours. All are doing fine now” The health department has con-ducted vaccination at only 92 sites Wednesday where 7946 people were inoculated. Districts including Balasore, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Rayagada and Sundergarh dis-trict have received over 100 per cent of the target while only 32 per cent beneficiaries turned out in Bhadrak district.
