Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: In a step towards going pa-perless, the state’s Assembly session will operate on dig-ital mode during the up-coming Budget Session, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro said here Friday. Speaking to media per-sons, Patro said,
“Now the members of the House can submit their questions and submissions online and they will get replys from the con-cerned division through National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).” However, the answers of starred questions will be replied by the concerned minister in the floor of the Assembly, he said. A meeting will be held soon with state government officials including the Chief
f? 1= Secretary to instruct all de-partments to submit soft-copies of their papers, an-swers and replies so that the same can be uploaded in the NeVA, the Speaker said.( All business of the House will be available on the mo-bile app so that everyone can know what businesses have been taken up in the House on that day.
The Assembly Secretariat too is planning to upload Budget documents in the application soon after it was tabled in the House, he added. Earlier, the Speaker had said upgradation of the Assembly to e-Vidhan Sabha will be made at a cost of 18.56 crore, for which the Centre will give 60 per cent of total amount while there- \ maining 40 per cent will be allocated by the state government
