Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: ClassX stu-dents can appear matriculation or annual high school certificate (IBC) examinations in the state this year at their own schools, sources at Board of Secondary Education (BSE) said Friday However,
official announce-ment regarding the same by the state government or the School and Mass Education department is yet to come.
The annual Class X board examination is scheduled to be held from May 3 to 15 thisyear Teachers from other schools will be roped in to serve as invig-ilators during the exams to prevent malpractice and bring fairness in the examination,
sources said. Meanwhile, Board of Secondary Education revised the pattern of examination and distribution of marks in different subjects for an-nual High School Certificate Examination,
State Open School Certificate Examination and Madhyama Examination, 2021. The pattern can be downloaded from the website wwwbseodisha.ac.in. As per the revised pattern, there will be two separate question papers in sub-jects- General Science and Social Science for HSC & SOSC candidates basing on old & new courses.
As per the pattern, the exami-nation will be held in 20 subjects and each paper will comprise 50 marks of objective and 30 marks of subjective questions.
The can-didates need to attend each paper in two hours. Even as the test will be con-ducted for 80 marks in each sub-ject, the evaluation will be done for 100 marks. The rest 20 marks will be awarded as per marks obtained—( by a student for 80 marks.
